{Disclosure: I received a Hapai Wrap for free in order to test it for this review. Any thoughts and opinions are my own.}
A couple of months ago I found a cool little company on Instagram called Hapai Wrap. I had always wanted to try a wrap carrier so I was excited when they reached out to me and allowed me to try their wrap and share my thoughts with you all.
One of the things that has kept me from purchasing a baby wrap was the thought of trying to wrap all these yards of material around me and my baby and make sure that we would both be safe. I loved the thought of baby carrying with a wrap but was too intimidated to try it. When Seth and Cameron were smaller I used a sling, which I loved, but it didn’t work well until they were bigger.
When I first unpacked the Hapai Wrap that same thought came over me, but then I watched the tutorial on their website and was amazed with how easy it was to use. Before I even placed Andrew in the Hapai wrap I was in love with it. The wrap is made out of a blend of 95% Bamboo and 5% Spandex. Bamboo is naturally anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and odor resistant, and the Spandex gives the wrap just a bit of stretch so it moves with you. The wrap is seriously one of the softest things that I own!
Andrew loved the wrap from the first minute he was placed in it. It kept him close to momma, warm and snuggled up, the perfect place for a nap.
I’ve used the Hapai wrap many, many times since we first got it a few weeks ago. It is the perfect way to keep your baby close in crowded environments, especially when you are worried about germ exposure in the first few months. The wrap makes cleaning the house up much easier because baby can come along with you and nap, or just cuddle.
I haven’t quite figured out how to nurse Andrew while using the Hapai wrap, but I know it can be done. I just need to experiment at home one day and figure it out.
Another thing I love about the Hapai Wrap is what the company values. Hapai Wrap was designed by a busy momma who wanted an easier way to include her baby in her busy life. The wraps are made in California and all domestic orders get free shipping. And my doula heart loves one of the missions at Hapai Wrap:
“Our passion to help others extends past our wraps, and we are proud to donate 5% of our profits to Hearts 4 Africa. Hearts 4 Africa is committed in the effort to reduce the mother and infant mortality and morbidity rates in Uganda Africa by providing clean, safe, loving environments for birth, improving the prenatal and postpartum care given by Midwives and Doctors, and by providing much needed medical supplies and equipment.”
You can find more information about the Hapai Wrap at their website or on Instagram.
