Let’s Learn about Prayer
{A Study for Momma and Littles}
Hi there dear Momma! I’m so excited that you are joining with me on this journey of teaching little ones how to pray, and in the process, learning more about prayer yourself. Prayer is an area that I personally need to work on, I often find myself blurting out little “please help me, bless me, heal my children” prayers frequently, but I know that there is so much more to prayer than that.
Prayer is speaking to the one who created all with WORDS.
Prayer is harnessing that power and directing it.
Prayer is developing a closer relationship with the Father.
Prayer is confession.
Prayer is repentance.
Prayer makes miracles happen.
Prayer is POWERFUL.
Why do we need to teach children how to pray?
The first, and most obvious, answer is because we have to teach them everything. The second answer is that we ourselves will learn as we teach our children. I don’t know about you but I have learned so much since becoming a mother. While I liked to learn while I was in school, I was really excited to graduate and be done with all that learning. Then I had my first son. And I realized how little I actually knew.
My spiritual life has grown since having children as well, because it has too. This mothering thing is hard and I wouldn’t be able to do it without Jesus. And coffee. But really, my children have shown me areas I need to work on in my walk with Christ, they have taught me lessons as I try to correct them {when I actually listen to the words that I say, I am ashamed and humbled}, and they have overwhelmed me with love like my Father in Heaven.
So back to teaching our children… we need to teach our children how to pray, because if we don’t who will?
A really quick overview:

Once again, I am so excited to be on this journey with you, momma!! If you have anything that I can be praying about for you feel free to email me at rebekah@survivingtoddlerhood.com I would also love to hear stories about what you and your little ones are learning through this course.
