Last weekend was great for our family. We didn’t have much planned, which was surprising since we have had pretty much every weekend filled since the beginning of May.
On the Fourth we went to my in-laws for the afternoon and had fun with Ben’s younger brothers playing badminton and volleyball. The volleyball wasn’t good for my bad elbow, I’m hoping that as it gets used more it will adjust to the different things that I am doing with it.
We thought about taking the boys to see fireworks, but Cameron would have just been scared and Seth would have been grumpy the next day. Maybe next year…
Saturday we went to a local parade. I didn’t get any pictures of the floats or firetrucks, but I did get lots of the boys. 🙂
Sunday I went to my parents and grandparents and Ben left for training in Detroit. He just got back last night, we were so excited to have Daddy back, I wish you could have heard my little boys. I wanted to scream like them, but I restrained myself. I was reminded this week of how much I look forward to my husband coming home at night, not just for a break from the boys but for the adult interaction.
Oh, we got Seth’s labs back a while ago. All say he is a normal, healthy boy, just on the shorter side. It was a relief, I didn’t think there was anything wrong, but it is nice to know for sure. We are still working with some food sensitivities, hoping that by avoiding them for a while, and rebuilding and strengthening his intestinal tract, Seth will eventually be able to eat most everything again.
This weekend Ben and I are attempting to bike a century, for non bikers that is 100 miles. Well I will attempt it, Ben won’t have a problem.
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend and have a great weekend coming up! What was your favorite holiday activity?
