I love this quote on mothering from Elizabeth George’s book A Woman’s High Calling:
What is a godly Mother?
A godly mother is one who loves the Lord her God with all her heart, soul, mind and strength and then
Passionately
Consistently and
Unrelentingly teaches her child to do the same.
It is my prayer that I will be an example for my boys and show them what it means to be a disciple of Christ and how to love others with his love.
That said, I definitely have areas that need work in my life. These open letters to mommas of littles are basically letters to myself that I write when a lesson God is trying to teach me actually clicks. They are letters to a younger me and hopefully there is some wisdom and truth in them for other young mothers.
