Last Sunday my middle baby turned two. ๐ It was a sad/happy day. Sad because now that he is two I have to acknowledge that he is growing up, happy because well, he is growing up and learning so much!!
Last year we didn’t really have a celebration for his birthday because we were traveling, so this year we decided to have a small family gathering and celebrate the day.
I made a cake from Danielle Walker’s Against All Grain cookbook, it was the first time I had used the recipe but it turned out beautifully. The cake was Paleo. The frosting was not…. but hey it was a special occasion and I wasn’t sure how well the recipes for paleo frosting that I have seen would hold up for decorating anyways.
It was a lion cake. Specially made for our Cameron Lion. He earned that nickname almost a year ago when the only way I could get him to come when I called was to say, “Come here Cameron Lion.” He would then happily come crawling over while growling.
Cameron is getting to be a very opinionated little boy. Some of his favorite phrases and words are:
“Right now Mom-EEE.”
“Don’t want to.”
“Because….”
and of course the favorite word of two-year-old’s around the world
“NO.”
He loves to play with Seth. When they get along they get along great! When they are fighting the days are long and lots of chocolate may be consumed. {By me of course. :)}
He would live outside if he could. Thankfully most of the snow is gone so it is a much easier deal to send the boys out then it was last month.
Cameron loves babies and I know he is going to be thrilled when this baby gets here. I may have to rescue the baby a time or two.
He is still nursing three times a day. I think we’ll be done soon. I’ll miss the moments he falls asleep in my arms.
His favorite food would be meat of any kind. He loves it! Second would be potatoes, preferably mashed.
This is just a snapshot of my Cameron baby. I’ll leave you with a picture of Cameron when he was smaller.

Thanks Kate! He is getting so big, it makes me sad some days….but then I remember that the reason I have him is to raise him to be a respected, God-fearing man who shows others the love of God.
