Dear Momma,
A new year has begun and with it come resolutions or goals. Some of these goals are for health and fitness, some for our businesses, some for our personal life, and some for our families.
This year I want to concentrate on my prayer life again. One of my goals last year was to grow in prayer and faith. And while I may have improved slightly in those areas, I still feel like they need work.
I want to pray for my children more, because I know that prayer is a powerful weapon against the enemy. I want to pray for my children more because I know it can help to grow my faith as I see God’s faithfulness and protection in their lives. I want to pray more for my children but…
One of the things that seems to get in the way of my prayer life is time. While I know that is a bad excuse it is still the thing that seems to be cropping up the most. But we don’t need hours to sit and pray. Little moments throughout the day work just as well.
#pray these 5 things over your #toddlers and #children this year and see your faith grow as you do. Click To TweetAre you like me, a busy momma? Do you want to pray for your children but you don’t know where to start? What do we pray for our children for?
I want to pray that they stand strong, that they will be bold and courageous, but I also want to pray more than that. But what?
Are you with me, momma?
I’m sharing five new ways that I will be praying for my children over at Equipping Godly Women today. I hope you will come over and learn new ways to lift up your littles before the Lord.
Hugs to you dear momma!
How are you praying for or encouraging your children this year? Can you think of any other “new” ways to pray for our families?

I love your 5 things, they are really good! I have a prayer pinned to my bulletin board that reads “Please guard his heart and mind and allow the good seed to take root in his life so that he will grow to own his own faith and walk boldly in his purpose that You already have planned for him. ” I may have to modify it some to use a few of your 5 things!

Great prayers to take moms beyond, “God, help my kids”! And good not only for the littles! I’m praying like crazy all day, every day for my tween and teen. ๐ Thanks for the guidance, Rebekah!

You’re welcome! I hope to be using these almost every day. I need to make a printable to hang around the house.

I love that one of your goals is to pray for your children. This is also one of my goals to pray for each of them by name each day. Even though they are young I am praying for loving, family oriented Godly wives.
Rebekah says
Oh yes! That is a good thing to pray for! Thanks for coming by Michelle!

This is lovely. I pray daily for wisdom as I’m raising 4 kids (including a teen and preschool twins) as a working mom. God’s guidance and his presence in my decision making is so important!

Praying for our kids is so important! Without Christ, it is easy to grow weary. I just shared my favorite list from Revive Our Hearts of 30 things to pray for our kids, check out the list!

Hi Katie, Sorry it has taken so long to respond, somehow I missed your comment. ๐ I’ll be over to check out your list!

Great reminder thank you for this! It is very difficult amid the craziness to remember to pray over them. This morning I awoke up early to do just this and had to fight through the distraction of laundry and breakfast. I will be onion these thank you! On another note I would love to connect with some more Christian bloggers and will be following you thanks to fining this thread on FB.

Thanks for the follow, Leli!! I hope that you find lots of encouragement here!! I’m heading over to check out your site soon!
