We’re on vacation right now and I wasn’t going to post anything while we are gone…but, I’m waiting for laundry at the laundromat, the boys are with Ben playing in the Savannah River and there are only old magazines or romance novels to read (yuck). So I decided to fill you in on what goals got accomplished last month and a little about what we are doing on vacation. 🙂
And because I know you all desperately miss me.
We’re down in Georgia, Tybee Island to be precise, camping until Friday when my sister and brother-in-law will come down from Virginia and we’ll all stay in an apartment in Savannah for the weekend. Saturday my brother, sister-in-law and my favoritist nephew are coming for the day. It will be a short visit but we wanted to squeeze in one last married siblings visit before my brother and his family move all the way out to Washington state. {I’m a little excited because then I’ll have a reason to go to the west coast, but we definitely won’t be seeing as much of each other. 🙁 }

Here is what happened last month:
Blogging:
*6 posts including a guest post – the guest post is almost finished, but otherwise only four posts. ..
Doula Business:
*attend local baby shower (PR) this was a lot of fun, definitely only a PR event but I loved talking to all those pregnany mommas
*blog post for website – sorta done so sorta crossed out, I wanted to find a picture for it but I couldn’t find one I liked
*update website I did do this. 🙂 Got a testamonial page set up and worked on some other things over there.
Health and Fitness:
*run 2 time a week – nope, but I did run a lot more than the previous month. I’m hoping to make it to 30-35 weeks running this pregnancy, but we’ll see how the summer goes.
*DVD workout 2 times a week Yep! And I’m going to share some of my favorite prenatal workout DVD’s with you in the next couple of weeks.
Home and Hospitality:
*put kitchen cupboards back together Yes! I will also be sharing pictures of the completed project in the next few weeks.
*redo kitchen countertop – nope. We didn’t have time before we left on vacation. My uncle gave us some laminate that he had leftover from a project and I think it is going to look amazing with the cupboards
*curtains and pillows – ummm……no.
Mothering:
*finish Voyage of the Dawn Treader and start another chapter book with the boys we finished VOTDT but haven’t started any new chapter books yet.
*read the Ministry of Motherhood by Sally Clarkson – I’m half way through this awesome book, learning a lot and highlighting tons of teaching that I want to be able to find quickly.
Have you had any vacation yet this summer? What did you do?
Do you have any favorite travel distractions for toddlers and preschoolers that you want to share? We have an 18 hour drive home on Sunday…I’m hoping the boys will sleep a lot. We have some toys, movies and snacks but those definitely do not fill up the whole trip.
