17 weeks!! Almost halfway through this pregnancy with BabyT#3! The weeks are going by so fast this time around. I remember with Seth it seemed to go so slowly, even his babyhood seemed slow, I couldn’t wait to get to the next stage and do the next thing. I couldn’t wait to get maternity clothes, a bump, or to know what contractions felt like. Now I get out my maternity clothes rather reluctantly, feel thankful that I still feel small and while I’m not dreading contractions I don’t need to be feeling them anytime soon.
My stats:
Weight:ย I’ve gained 17 pounds. Faster than I was hoping for, but I think it will probably slow down in the end weeks.
Cravings:ย Last night was the first time I’ve had to call Ben and ask him to stop at the store specifically for the one thing I was craving. Pickles. And I ate the whole jar. ๐ I’m still liking anything spicy and salty.ย
Diet and Exercise: I’m following Trim Healthy Mama a little more closely now, restricting sugar to my dark chocolate and the occasional cranberry I steal from the boys. Refined carbs are out instead being replaced with sweet potatoes, squash and buckwheat. Quinoa has seemed to be irritating the last few times I’ve tried it, so I’m staying away from that for now.ย
I ordered some new prenatal workout DVD’s a couple of weeks ago and I love trying new workouts any time I want. I would like to be running twice a week and doing a workout DVD twice a week, something I did accomplish last week. ๐
Sickness:ย No more nausea, now I’m just dealing with fatigue. Although I think my lowered immune system might be reacting to pollen right now as I feel like I have a bad head cold that comes and goes.
Baby stats:
Length: somewhere around 5″
Weight: around 5 ounces. ๐ almost half a pound.
Other:BabyT#3 is moving around a lot now. It’s urinary tract is functioning and it is practicing to breathe by inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid.
I’m super excited for the 28th. That’s when I’ll find out what we’ve been blessed with and we’ll have a small reveal party for the boys. ๐

I think someone commented on IG how they loved that the boys were in that pic, too – and they are right, the more I see it, the more I love that the boys are there too! And I’m voting for a girl ๐

๐ Aww. I like the picture too. And thanks for the vote! We’ll see what BabyT#3 is this coming Thursday, yay!!

Perfect photo of your bump with the kids in the background! congratulations!

Yeah! Congratulations!! We must be due around the same time. I’m just 21 weeks today. That’s awesome you are staying fit and active during your pregnancy. I definitely trying to do the same. I just wrote a post on running while pregnant. I didn’t do much last time around, so it’s been nice to keep it up.
Rebekah says
Good for you! I made it to 30 weeks with my first pregnancy, running that is, and 20 with my second. I’m hoping to make it to at least 30 this time, hopefully longer. ๐ Congrats on the little girl!

So exciting! I love reading your weekly updates. You look great, by the way. Good for you about exercising and eating healthy. Keep it up Momma!
Rebekah says
Thanks Shann! I’m trying to eat the best I can, but I definitely do give into those potato chip and chocolate cravings every once in a while, this past week more than normal…. ๐

Awww. Way to go on limiting the sugar. By time I was prego with #3 I ate whatever I wanted! (I was the most nauseous and sick with her too, so I guess I just excited to eat anything in the second trimester.) Way to be a fit prego mama! It’s an inspiration.
Rebekah says
Thanks! The whole time I’m getting ready to workout and even when I start I really don’t feel like it, but I feel so much better when I get done and I know that it will help labor and recovery to go smoother. I love working out when I’m not pregnant, but it is more of a struggle. I have definitely been giving into the potato chip and chocolate cravings, gotta keep those cravings under control. ๐

Congratulations!!! 17 weeks is such a nice time. You look pregnant but aren’t uncomfortable yet. You can feel baby! Such an exciting time!!!
Sooo stereotypical that you craved pickles!!! ๐ but, good on you for not sending your husband out earlier than that. I wish I could say the same…. Lol.
Rebekah says
Haha! I might make him grab some again tonight…
I love those first movements. ๐ Ben was actually able to feel BabyT#3 last night, earliest ever for him.
I’m so excited to see what we have been blessed with this coming week. ๐
