150 posts! That number looks huge, but I know it isn’t really compared to other momma blogs out there.
If you are new here I want to take the time to introduce you to my little family. ๐ I always love reading introduction posts on other blogs and getting to know the authors and their families a little better.
Here we all are. ๐ Ben and I have been married for five and a half years. We like to take long biking trips together in the summer. I like to read, run and help my littles learn new things. He like outdoor manly things like fishing, hunting and cutting wood. ๐
This is Seth-boy. He is my oldest. He is four and a half. He likes to use his big imagination. His favorite movies are the Star Wars series and The Chronicles of Narnia series. {We’re hoping to take him to his first movie at the theater this year if they ever decide to release the next Narnia movie, like we have read they are going to.} Seth love to do school and practice reading and writing. I think we are skipping kindergarten next year and going right into Horizons first grade. He can read already, recognizes numbers and can count to thirty. He does math on his own and likes to spell.
This is Cameron. He is my middle little. He has a large personality. He is a rough and tough, sturdy little boy. He is a talker and has a large vocabulary for a two-year old. He and his older brother get along most of the time, but when they are fighting they fight with all they have in them. Like most two-year olds he likes to climb and frequently gets stuck at the top of the bunk bed ladder. Thankfully he hasn’t had any broken bones yet for all the crazy things I find him doing.
Wait a second. Did she just say MIDDLE little?
Why yes, I did. ๐
We are expecting a new Thompson baby in the fall. ๐ Which is why we are really looking forward to fall this year.
This is the earliest we have ever announced baby news, but I didn’t want to wait to share. It drove me crazy last time waiting to tell people. I’m a little past seven weeks right now and feeling pretty good. Every once in a while I’ll have a morning where I have nausea and I definitely have food aversions.
I was pretty worried a couple of weeks ago because I was having a lot of spotting, not normal for me. So I was able to get in and get an early ultrasound and thankfully we seen a strong little heart beating away. ๐ I probably have something called a subchorionic hematoma which is a spot of bleeding behind the placenta. It doesn’t raise the miscarriage rate if it is a small one and normally it either bleeds out or gets absorbed into the placenta. I’m not running or working out right now, super hard for me, until the spotting is done and I get approval from my OB.
Did you have an SCH in any of your pregnancies? Did your doctor or midwife recommend that you take it easy for a while? What kind of food aversions did you have?

Thank you Janell! I’m glad we were able to find answers about the spotting and hoping the rest of the pregnancy isn’t berry eventful. ๐

So excited for you ๐ And your boys sound just like mine, it’s funny! I had a little spotting during my last pregnancy (which worried me because I had a miscarriage before) but everything turned out to be fine. Getting that first ultrasound with the heartbeat can be so relieving!
Rebekah says
It was so relieving I wanted to cry.
Our boys would get along well. ๐ Today while cleaning we had superpowers because the floors were lava….lol. my oldest had to fly everywhere and I had special powers so I could be in the lava. :p
Ellen Russell says
Haha, yep, sounds like they would get along great! Our living room is currently full of “tar puddles” they pull each other out of ๐

Lol! That’s awesome!
