I’m so sad. My weeks of co-hosting this awesome party are almost over. đ It has been a lot of work, but so much fun, to read all these posts and meet great new bloggers. I hope you all were able to find some new friends like I did.
Last week I shared that one of my favorite things about fall coming was PUMPKIN! I do love pumpkin and sweaters and all the other things that I mentioned, but one thing that I didn’t mention was the upcoming school year.
I was homeschooled as a child and one thing that I always looked forward to was the day that we would receive our new books. I loved to flip through them and look at all the empty pages. I couldn’t wait to start using them!
Now, as a mother, I am excited to start teaching my boys. Last year I had great plans and the year started out great, Seth and I did about 15 minutes of school every other day or so and we both loved it. Then it got to October and we were tired of it. For the rest of the year we got out books whenever Seth asked about them, or if there was a day he seemed really bored. He still learned. he can count to ten, can sing the alphabet song, and knows some letters. He knows most of his colors and some shapes. This year one of my biggest goals is to teach Seth to read, wish us luck! Now on to the party!
Here are this week’sÂ
The following three posts received the most clicks this past week!
- I loved this post by Surviving Toddlerhood called Dear Momma, Let Them Love You . . . There is no picture, but it has a powerful message!
- Oh My Heartsie Girl goes down memory lane in her post Handmade Soap and Washing In The 50â˛s.
- Mind of Meesh shared a timely post that has 12 great Back to School Teacher Gifts.
My picks from last week!
As I mentioned before I LOVE the back to school sesason! The sales, the excitement and getting back into a good routine. This really cute printable from My Paper Craze will help get your littles into a good routine and keep them ready for each morning. I love that there are two options for the printable, go check it out, let me know which one you printed!
This is an extensive list of back to school ideas. Rochelle has put together a list of 120 links under many different catagories which include: photo ops, special meals and fun things to give your little people as they head off to school or the living room couch. Find all these great ideas here.
This blog is new to me, but I know I’ll be heading back to Whispering Loudly to check out more of her posts. What do I love about this post? Everything is reusable. It might be an investment to get started in reusable options, but it is good for the environment and eventually it is cheaper. đ There are links here to super cute lunch supplies.
