A new year. A fresh start
I always love the thought of the new year and a new chance to accomplish something. Why is it that I overlook every new day?
Why do I put more weight on the mercies of a new year instead of the mercies that are new every morning.
Why don’t I wake up every morning looking for the ways God wants to use me that specific day?
That is one of my goals for the year. To be more willing to look for the everyday moments that God wants me to be available and willing to do what he requires of me.
I also want to get over my reluctance to speak of spiritual things. To be more willing to share what I am learning and of His faithfulness in my life.
Two other goals that I have for the year are: memorizing 1 Peter through 3 John and reading through the entire Bible.
Here are my specific goals for January:
Personal:
*write a psalm of praise (or list a list) of the ways God has shown his faithfulness in our family.
*memorize 1 Peter 1
*make some goals that cover the entire year
Mothering
*make a chore chart for Seth and Cameron
*get back into a school routine with Seth
Home and Hospitality
*curtains in our bedroom
*make pillows for the bed
Health and Fitness
*complete #onemonthoffitness
Blog
*ten posts
How did you ring in the New Year?
Our exciting evening was dinner at Grandma’s and normal bedtimes. We slept through that great event. ๐
Do you make goals for your littles? What areas do you cover
Last year I made school goals and character goals for Seth. I haven’t done it yet for either of the boys but I probably will again.
