Today I thought I would give you an update on our family. So here is what and how we’ve been to the last few weeks. ๐
What has Ben been doing? Basketball practices started a few weeks ago, so Ben has two nights a week that he is in charge of a team of JV boys. Our local homeschool basketball team has really grown sober the last year, but Ben did lose a couple of his players last year, so this year he has to reorganize the team and get the guys into a rhythm.
What have I been doing? Not working out. ๐ I need some motivation people! I have piano lessons one day a week- this is also when my super awesome cousin comes over to help with the boys. Now I know why littles are easier when you have older ones, because then the littles have entertainment. ๐ As a birth doula I am working with a few clients right now, I’m so excited to see what God has done through this business and can’t wait to see what else is in store.
How have I been doing healthwise?
Yesterday it was my turn to get BioMeridian testing done. I was pretty sure of a couple things that would come up, but there were a couple of surprises. The biggest thing I will be working on for the next few months is my thyroid health. I will be eliminating grains, cabbage and strawberries. No strawberries was definitely the biggest surprise. ๐ I will miss them, maybe eventually I will be able to have them every once in a while.
We also found candida and high mercury levels. I have done work to do for a while.
What and how is Sethboy doing?
Seth is enjoying preschool most days and dealing with it the rest. He recognizes most of the letters, knows how to spell his name, can read when he wants to and he even has starting doing math on his own. He likes to show me how well he can count. ๐ My biggest goal with Seth’s schooling this year is getting him to read and I really excited about the progress we have made so far.
Seth and Cameron love each other, I love how protective Seth is of his little brother. Like most big brothers he loves to pick on Cameron, but nobody else better try. ๐
Last, but definitely not least, how is Cameron?
Cam-cam is getting so big! He is a little copier, his vocabulary is growing by the day. He has been showing signs of being ready for potty training so we got our froggy potty out of the basement, he really likes to sit on it. I had to stop a bad habit though, the first time he sat on it I let him watch his favorite cow movie, the next time he wanted to watch it he brought out his potty and plopped it in front of the TV. He was a little disappointed he didn’t get to do both things at the same time. And by little, I mean he threw a fit.
Yes, we are in the fit throwing stage again. Tonight he had to go scream in bed. ๐
Cute story now, after we dropped Sethboy off at Awana this past week Cameron was worried the whole way home because he couldn’t find Seth anywhere in the car. He called Seth the whole way home. When Seth did get home Cameron ran to the door with a smile and hug usually reserved for Ben’s return from work.

I am doing homeschool pre-K this year with my 4 yr old. She has just started doing math on her own. She came up to me and told me that if both her hands and both her feet all had five fingers/toes, that 4×5 must be 20. I was so surprised. It is a lot of fun to see what they pick up.

You have such a sweet family. I’m so excited for you that you get to be a doula too. I know that happened a while ago–but still exciting!
